(Atlantic) The Atlantic City Council Personnel and Finance Committee will recommend the City Council connect the City’s sanitary sewer to 60365 Glacier Road just outside the City limits on the northwest edge of Atlantic.
Don Sonntag of Sonntag, Inc. told the committee Nextlink, an internet company out of Texas, is leasing a portion of the building. He says the company covers five states from Texas through the Midwest, supplying rural wireless internet.
Sonntag says the building is too big to house just one tenant.
Sonntag says the company out of Illinois is looking for more land for their big crane equipment.
Sonntag says if the other two companies agree to lease the other two-thirds of the building, it could mean 25-30 new jobs.
Sonntag, Inc. is also proposing to donate to the City 1001 and 1010 East 3rd Street Place with the intention the City will utilize these lots for new housing development.
