(Garner, IA) — A Mason City man is charged with willful injury causing bodily injury for the alleged beating of a woman in Hancock County.
Prosecutors say 28-year-old Blake Walderbach went to a home in Garner June 27th and got into an argument with a husband and wife. The criminal complaint says he slammed the door of his truck and punched the woman in the face. Walderbach then put the woman in a chokehold and told her to “get into the truck or everyone would be arrested.”
The victim said he continued to punch her in the face and slammed her head into the dashboard. She suffered a concussion, bruises to her face and arm and had cuts on her lip and head.
