(Audubon) Josh Lange will be looking to bounce back with a strong senior campaign on the football field for Buena Vista.
The Audubon graduate had a breakout season as a sophomore, but COVID and a knee injury wiped out his junior season. “The day we were supposed to arrive for fall camp they said we were not going to have a season, but would still practice all fall. I ended up tearing my ACL in October in practice and had surgery. I did rehab and therapy all winter and spring long.”
Lange reports the recovery from his knee injury went very well. “It was really good. I probably went to my athletic trainer about four times per week and then went to another physical therapist three times a week. So I definitely kept busy. It was a good experience to go through mentally and physically to grow as a person.”
In 2019 Lange was 2nd on the team both receptions with 36 and receiving yardage with 390. “My sophomore season when I came in I didn’t really expect to do a whole lot or even start. There were some good upperclassmen at receiver, so it was cool to get in there and beat some of those guys out and have a really good season my sophomore year. I look forward to trying to do it again.”
He’s looking to make the most of his final go-round as a wide receiver in Storm Lake, stating top priority is to have fun.
