(Anita) CAM Schools Superintendent Paul Croghan says two facilities upgrade meetings are scheduled for Wednesday, July 14, and Wednesday, July 21.
“The focus financial committee meets on Wednesday, July 14, at 6:30 p.m. in the commons area at the school in Massena,” said Croghan. “A facilities engagement meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 21, at 6:30 p.m. also in Massena. The emphasis is on finances as the district moves forward with the facilities conversation.”
Croghan says the public is welcome to come to both of these meetings. “We invited the people involved in the focus group to the meeting on the 14th,” said Croghan. “And we want school district patrons to stay engaged and be a part of the meeting on July 21 to see and hear things regarding the financial aspect of the district and revenue sources as we continue the conversation on the school facilities.”
Currently, options for the school facility upgrade are being presented for feedback from the school district patrons. The school is looking at a November school bond election timeline if the conversation continues to evolve at the current pace. “The public made additional comments about having these meetings sooner than later, and that’s why we are scheduling meetings for this week and next week,” said Croghan. “We’ll continue to build off of this, but as we continue to meet deadlines, people must be comfortable with what is being discussed.”
If the November bond election timeline is not met, the special election will be pushed to March 2022.
