(Atlantic) The Atlantic City Council Wednesday will decide whether to change the term of a Park Board member.
Atlantic City Administrator John Lund said a few years ago; city leaders discussed changing the term of Park Board members from six years to four years because of the six-year commitment.
Lund says Park Board members favored the change, but its timing was sensitive, and they wanted to ensure the four-year terms would allow for staggering of elected positions. In addition, this would allow for the Board to always have senior members to help the incoming board members.
A public hearing will precede the decision at the meeting on Wednesday that starts at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.
