Westwood, CAM, and Mount Ayr move on from 1A Regional Golf at Anita

(Anita) Westwood placed three individuals in the top four to win the first round of regionals at Crestwood Hills in Anita on Monday.

The Rebels shot a 419 and edged out CAM by two stroked for the team title. The Cougars were led by individual medalist Reese Snyder with her round of 95. Mady McKee and Meredith Rich each recorded a 105 for the Cougars. Maddie Holtz scored 116 and Eva Steffensen 130.

Mount Ayr, with their third place finish, joins Westwood and CAM as the three teams moving on. They will all play at Crestwood Hills again next week in regional final competition.

Lenox’s Chelsey Hoakison was the lone individual qualifier that was not on an advancing team.
