(Glenwood) The Mills County Public Health Department reports a significant drop in COVID-19 cases in its weekly report.
The number of new confirmed cases dropped from 13 to five for the week ending May 11. There are currently 56 active cases compared to 68 one week ago. The County’s 14-day positivity rate also dropped from 11-percent to 7.2-percent. Unfortunately, there was one death in the county during the week ending May 11.
Mills County Health reports 30.9 percent (4,447) of its residents have been vaccinated for COVID-19, compared to 28.3 percent last week.
Vaccination Clinics are scheduled for Saturday, May 15, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Shopko.
Mills County Public Health has the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines. Hy Vee Pharmacy in Glenwood has Pfizer, and Kohll’s Pharmacy in Malvern has Moderna.
