(Audubon) Fire fees in Audubon will go into effect on Friday.
The City Council approved the third reading of an ordinance for fire fees on Monday and adopted Resolution 21-17, setting the fee schedule. “A vehicle fire would be up to $500, grass fires $300, structural fire up to $500, there are several other towns that do this. We patterned ours after LeMars.”
City Clerk Joe Foran says the ordinance will be published in Friday’s newspaper. The process began back in February.
Fire Chief Tyler Thygesen this will be similar to EMS billing that began in 2016 to assist with the costs of fueling and maintaining their equipment.
