Morningside women advance to Final Four

(Sioux City) An 83-67 win over Concordia is sending the Morningside women’s basketball team onto the Final Four of the NAIA National Tournament.

Winners of 23 straight, Morningside is 29-2 overall. Exira-EHK grad Sophia Peppers contributed 8 points and 8 rebounds in the win over Concordia.

The Mustangs advance to a national semifinal in Sioux City on Monday at 6:00 p.m. Morningside is the #5 seed in the tournament and will take on top seeded Thomas More (KY). The winner will play for a national championship on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
