Lois Ann Delph, 84, of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away February 13, 2021.
Public visitation will be held Wednesday, February 17 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Shelby Cemetery.
Pauley Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She attended Shelby Consolidated School until the 8th grade. She was a babysitter and cleaned house for anyone who asked her for several years. She was a member of the Shelby Presbyterian Church and the Shelby American Legion.
Lois was never married and didn’t have any children but she loved her nieces and nephews and spent as much time as she could with them.
She loved playing cards, especially Skip Bo, with her sisters and friends, and going shopping with her friends. Lois stayed with her mom to help take care of her until her mom’s passing.
In the fall of 2013, she entered the Atlantic Specialty Care Center where she lived until her death. Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers Everette and Elmer Delph; sisters Mary Henneger and Evelyn Foster; brothers in law Virgil Henneger, Glen Foster and Elmer Shriver. Lois is survived by her sister Alice Shriver of Atlantic, Iowa; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
