(Sidney) Fremont County Deputies arrested a Kansas City, Missouri man for attempting to steal a semi.
According to the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the 14-mile marker on Interstate 29 at around 6:48 p.m. on Tuesday for a disabled vehicle and a male walking along the Interstate. Officer’s located the man identified as 42-year old James Bradley Mall attempting to steal a semi in the 200 block of 195th Street. The caller told authorities he was warming up the semi in his driveway when Mall got into the semi and tried to shift it into gear unsuccessfully.
Deputies contacted Mall and arrested him for Operating a Motor Vehicle without the owner’s consent. He was taken to jail and held on a $2,000 bond.
