Harlan 48, Lewis Central 39
Claire Schmitz had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds in a big Hawkeye Ten Conference win. That’s four straight for the Cyclones, including two against teams that have spent time in the rankings. Brecken Van Baale added 11 points for the 14-5 Cyclones. Caitlyn Leinen and Macie Leinen each scored 8.
Denison-Schleswig 60, Atlantic 48
Haley Rasmussen scored 26 points for the Trojans. That’s three straight games with at least 25 for the senior. Hannah Neemann scored 17 of her 23 in the first half for the Monarchs. Denison-Schleswig is 15-2.
Nodaway Valley 54, Lenox 52
The Class 2A #4 Wolverines needed a 16-13 4th quarter advantage to improve to 20-0. Maddax DeVault continued her scoring tear with 32 points. Lexi Shike scored 10. Lenox was led by Cassidy Nelson’s 23 point outing.
Exira-EHK 73, CAM 52
The 19-0 Spartans, ranked 5th in Class 1A, are outright Rolling Valley champs. Macy Emgarten scored 24. Mollie Rasmussen and Quinn Grubbs each notched 17. Rasmussen drained five of the team’s 14 3’s. CAM’s Zoey Baylor scored 10.
AHSTW 45, Underwood 35
The Lady Vikes notch a marquee win over 13th ranked Underwood. Kailey Jones becomes the program’s all-time leading rebounder. She had 18 points and 15 boards. Claire Denning added 15 points and 4 steals. AHSTW was 11/12 at the line. The Lady Vikes improve to 14-5 and hand Underwood just their 3rd loss of the season.
Audubon 57, Riverside 32
Audubon has won 4 in a row and 6/7. Aleah Hermansen moves within four points of 1,000 in her career with 21 points on 6/9 shooting. She was 3/5 beyond the arc and 6/6 at the line. Jaci Christensen posted 12 points and 10 rebounds. Hermansen had 10 of the team’s 16 steals.

Harlan 58, Lewis Central 55
Connor Frame went for 22 points and 10 rebounds in a game with nine ties and 12 lead changes. Brad Curren scored 16.
Atlantic 64, Denison-Schleswig 58
That’s six straight wins for the 9-5 Trojans. Carson Seuntjens scored 30 points for the Monarchs. Atlantic’s high scorer was Grant Sturm with 21. Skyler Handlos pitched in 15.
CAM 61, Exira-EHK 54
Colby Rich scored 14 of his 19 points in the 2nd half as the Cougars salvage a season split with the Spartans. Connor McKee scored 10. Lane Spieker and Wyatt Gettler hit a couple of key three’s in the 2nd half to hold off a comeback attempt. Exira-EHK got 15 points from Tyler Petersen.
AHSTW 67, Underwood 64
The Vikings outscored the Eagles 35-18 in the 2nd half. After giving up 23 points in the 1st quarter and 23 more in the 2nd quarter they clamped down and gave up just six in the 3rd. Brayden Lund hit the game winning 3-pointer at the buzzer. The win, coupled with a Treynor loss, creates a logjam at the top of the WIC. Treynor, AHSTW, and Tri-Center all have 2 losses. Tri-Center and AHSTW play on on Tuesday. The Vikings are 18-2 overall. Timothy Conn led Underwood with 20 points on 8/13 shooting.
Riverside 54, Audubon 35
Grady Jeppesen had a very efficient 24 points. He went 8/13 from the field, 4/6 from 3-point, and 4/6 on free throws. Brogan Allensworth and Aiden Bell each added 15 points. Riverside has won three straight.
