(Audubon) Audubon County Secondary Roads Superintendent Jami Schleimer reports good progress is being made in the effort to clear snow.
This big snow event coupled with a healthy dose less than two weeks ago, didn’t do crews any favors. “The biggest issue we are dealing with on this one is we just had a large snow fall recently so a lot of the ditches are full. A lot of it ended up on the roads after that.”
The good news is the snow is coming off the roads easily. “We are running seven snow plows and ten motor graders. The snow is real light and powdery so it’s easy to move. It’s coming off real nice.”
Audubon County has 70 miles of paved roads and 700 miles of gravel roads.
