(Greenfield) Spectator guidelines have been updated at Nodaway Valley following. Following Thursday’s announcement from Governor Kim Reynolds, Nodaway Valley will no longer be limiting their attendance.
Activities Director Gerry Miller dives inside the move. “We at Nodaway Valley have great confidence in our fan base and the fan bases that come from visiting schools within the POI and others that we have on our schedule. If we do the right thing which is wear our face coverings when we are in the facilities and social distance within the bleachers that we can continue to continue to host these events with more people in and not have to have restrictions.”
They are excited to welcome some familiar faces back into the gym, “At Nodaway Valley we have a strong and loyal fan base. They’ve been, just like people across the state, itching to get back into gyms and provide that atmosphere for our student athletes.”
As fans venture back, Miller urges them to do so cautiously including wearing face covering. “We are still requiring face coverings of anyone over age two. We are asking people in the crowd to social distance among themselves from different households. It’s still incredibly important to do everything that we can while allowing more people in the gym to keep everyone including spectators, students, student athletes, and our visiting communities safe.”
Miller says the majority of Pride of Iowa Conference schools will be opening to the public, but each school will make the decision that’s best for them. All guidelines are subject to change based on updates with local, state, and national health guidelines. The concession stand will be open. It is encouraged that only drinks be taken into the gym to limit the amount of time a face covering is off.
