(Area) Dense fog is expected to form overnight. The National Weather Service issued a Dense Fog Advisory for much of Iowa from 9:00 p.m. this evening to 9:00 a.m. on Monday.
Forecasters say visibility will be reduced to one-quarter of a mile or less in pockets of dense fog. The range of visibility can change quickly over short distances.
The conditions could cause hazardous travel conditions due to low visibility. In addition to that, bridges and overpasses may become icy.
Slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead.
