(Council Bluffs) Authorities identified the driver of the vehicle killed in the single-vehicle accident in Council Bluffs.
Emergency crews were dispatched at around 10:05 a.m. on Saturday, December 26, to eastbound Interstate‐480 Exit 0, to investigate a report of a single-vehicle accident. The vehicle had left the roadway and came to rest against a tree. The driver and lone occupant identified as Stephen Johnson, of Omaha was pronounced deceased at the scene by Paramedics.
The Council Bluffs Police Department Special Operations unit is investigating the crash.
