(Guthrie Co.) Guthrie County Health Services Director Jotham Arber updated the Board of Supervisors on the COVID-19 vaccines at their meeting on Tuesday.
Guthrie County Auditor Dani Fink said Arber told the board that Guthrie County Public Health will get 400 doses of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine next week.
“Anything for Guthrie County is all being allocated directly to the health department and then they’ll start with vaccination clinics at the hospital, they’ll start with frontline health care workers and then kind of trickle down from there. Anything that they have left over with that initial 400 doses, if anything, then they’ll designate that out to the pharmacies and doctor’s offices and things like that to be able to distribute from there. So, they’re just kind of in the initial stage of preparing how that’ll kind of all roll out,” explained Fink.
Fink said Jotham Arber also presented a payroll change notice for Kent Irwin giving him a raise from $20.45 to $21.45.
“Kent has been doing a lot of work with COVID and taking on a lot of new responsibilities, so they felt he should be compensated for that,” said Fink.
The Supervisors approved the wage increase.
In other news, Sheriff Marty Arganbright introduced new Deputy Matt Losee to the board. The Board approved a payroll change notice for him. Matt is not certified, so he will be going to the academy in January.
The Guthrie County Compensation Board also presented their recommendation of a 5-percent salary increase plus a $3,000 add-on for elected officials. The Supervisors did not take any action; they will meet at a later time to decide on wages.
