(Council Bluffs) This is the 21st year the Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office is holding their Shop with a Sheriff event. However, with the challenges of 2020, the Sheriff’s Office us unable to spend the morning shopping with the kids like they have in previous years.
The Sheriff’s Office said with the generous donations from individuals, families, businesses and organizations, the Sheriff’s Office was able to shop for 72 kids, which represents 33 families. With all of the generosity, the Sheriff’s Office was able to spend $200 on each child and provide a gift card to those families so they can purchase goods to cook a family holiday meal.
At 10:00 a.m. today, the families will drive through the Sheriff’s Office parking lot to see Santa and pick up the gifts that were purchased for the kids.
