(Des Moines) Governor Kim Reynolds is encouraging Iowans to do everything they can to minimize the spread of COVID-19 during the Thanksgiving holiday.
“Just be conscientious of your surroundings, who you are bringing in and practice mitigation efforts,” said Reynolds. “Iowans know what to do, they’ll do the right thing, they’re responsible. We put targeted mitigation steps in place and we’re going to be dialing them up when we need to and we’re going to dial them back as soon as we see the trends change. But, we continue to talk a lot about what Iowans can do to help us do that and I’m just imploring that all Iowans step up and help us stop the spread and we’ll get this under control sooner rather than later.”
Reynolds reminds Iowans that indoor gatherings of more than 15 people are prohibited under her latest proclamation.
