Atlantic alum Jalen Petersen competes on National Championship cross country team for NIACC

(Fort Dodge) Freshman Jalen Petersen, of Atlantic, placed 12th in the country for NJCAA Division II at the national cross country meet held Saturday in Fort Dodge.

Petersen ran the eight kilometer course in 26:33, that’s an average mile pace of 5:20. He was the 4th finisher for the Trojans which scored 57 points for the win.

Hawkeye Community College placed 6th among 19 teams.
