(Union Co.) A Lenox woman was injured in a rollover accident Thursday afternoon.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office says 19-year-old Araceli Padilla was driving a 2002 Volkswagen Beetle GLS northbound on Highway 169 at approximately 12:25 p.m. when she drove off of the pavement and onto the shoulder. Padilla tried to get back onto the pavement when she overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle. The Volkswagen then went into the east ditch and rolled before landing on its tires.
Padilla was transported to the Greater Regional Medical Center by Ambulance. She was cited for Failure to Provide Financial Liability.
