(Shelby Co.) One person was transported to the hospital and three others were checked by Medivac Ambulance Service for injuries following a three-vehicle accident in Shelby County Wednesday morning.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office says James Miller, 29, of Hancock, and Bret Anderson, 70, of Papillion, Nebraska, were both driving northbound on Highway 59 at approximately 7:21 a.m. and stopped in the construction zone area. Darian Robinson, 51, of Shelby, was also northbound on Highway 59. Robinson stated that he was unable to get slowed down and rear ended Anderson’s vehicle, causing Anderson’s vehicle to be pushed into the rear of Miller’s vehicle.
Bret Anderson was transported to Myrtue Medical Center by Medivac Ambulance. James Miller and passenger Amanda Miller and Darian Robinson were all checked on scene for injuries but were not transported.
The damage to Robinson’s 2006 Hyundai Tiburon was estimated at $7,000. The damage to Anderson’s 2002 Toyota Rav4 was estimated at $4,500. The damage to Miller’s 2007 Honda Fit was estimated at $4,500.
