(Audubon) On February 1st a change will be made from quarterly to monthly utility billing in Audubon.
The City Council addressed Ordinance 751 changing utility rates and billing structure during their meeting on Monday. City Clerk Joe Foran outlines the new rates. “The first 1,600 gallons per month is going to be at a minimum bill of $21 per month and then every 1,000 gallons after the 1,600 is going to be $8 per month.”
The Council is also increasing their re-imbursements sought for COVID expenses. “We just realized that we were eligible for some other expenses. First we just thought it was the cost for equipment and PPE, but we were able to take some salary of our public safety employees.”
Foran says the total costs they can apply for adds up to $45,000. He was glad to report the health and dental insurance renewal premiums dropped 4.4%.
