(Sioux City) Benedictine edged Morningside Saturday in women’s college basketball 66-64.
Sophia Peppers, of Exira-EHK, contributed 12 points and 8 rebounds in her first start of the season. Peppers also had 2 steals and an assist in the loss. Morningside won their season opener on Friday night by a scored of 81-53 over MidAmerican Nazerene. Peppers played 13 minutes off the bench with totals of 8 points, 4 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 assists.
The Mustangs are schedule to face the University of Jamestown on Wednesday.
