Area runners compete in American Rivers Conference cross country meet

(Pella) Wartburg swept the American Rivers Conference cross country championship hosted by Central College on Saturday. KSOM/KS95.7 Sports takes a look at how runners from immediate coverage area high schools fared.

Abbi Alberti, of Harlan, was Central’s 8th runner. Alberti placed 78th with a 6K (3.73 miles) time of 27:15.

ACGC alum Noah Nelsen placed 33rd for Simpson College in a 8K (4.97 miles) time of 27:28. Nodaway Valley grad Shane Breheny completed the course in 27:59 for Simpson to place 54th. Simpson also had Clay Billheimer (ACGC) finish 91st and Cale Billheimer (ACGC) 114th.
