(Red Oak) A Montgomery County woman suffered injuries in a car-motorcycle crash in Red Oak.
Police say the accident happened at around 3:36 p.m. on Friday, at East Washington Avenue and North 4th Street. Authorities say 57-year old Norma Jean Demont, a passenger on the motorcycle, suffered suspected serious injuries. The motorcycle driver, 50-year old Scott Allen Demont, received minor injuries. Both occupants are from Red Oak.
According to the report, a southbound 2009 Honda Accord driven by 18-year old Skylar Kathryn McGarry of Omaha traveling the wrong way on a one-way street failed to stop at the intersection and struck the eastbound 2015 Triumph T-Bird Storm motorcycle, ejecting Norma Jean Demont.
Medical Helicopter airlifted Demont to the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Officers cited McGarry for Failure to Yield at an uncontrolled intersection.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Red Oak Fire and Rescue assisted the Red Oak Police.
