(Shenandoah) A Shenandoah teen was transported to the hospital following an accident in Page County Wednesday afternoon.
The Page County Sheriff’s Office was called to the single-vehicle rollover accident near the intersection of C Avenue and 190th Street, approximately two miles east of Shenandoah, at 3:57 p.m. The investigation showed that 18-year-old Collin James Johnson was operating a 2004 Chevy pickup eastbound on 190th just east of the intersection of C Avenue. For unknown reasons, Johnson’s vehicle dropped off the south side of the travelled portion of the roadway. Johnson then over corrected trying to bring it back on the travelled portion and the vehicle crossed the westbound lane and dropped off the north side of the travelled portion of the roadway. Johnson then overcorrected the vehicle again trying to bring it back on the travelled portion of the roadway and the vehicle crossed both lanes into the east ditch where it overturned and damaged the fence.
Johnson was transported to Shenandoah Memorial Hospital by Shenandoah Ambulance Service with undisclosed injuries.
Damage to Johnson’s vehicle is estimated at $7,000. Damage to Carl Boylan’s fence is estimated at $200.
The Page County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Shenandoah Ambulance Service, the Shenandoah Fire Department, and the Page County Emergency Management Director.
No citations were issued at this time.
