(Atlantic) The Pink Patch Project involving the Atlantic Police Department continues to be a big hit.
Atlantic Police Chief Dave Erickson during Wednesday’s City Council Meeting had his sleeves cut off by representatives of Karl Emergency Vehicles and Deter Motor Company. Each donated $200 to promote awareness for breast cancer and other forms of cancer.
Last month Mike Blevins and Donnie Drennan with Pymosa Lodge 271 cut the sleeves off of Atlantic Police Chief Dave Erickson’s for $50 per sleeve. At the time, Erickson stated he welcomed a challenge and anyone willing to beat $100 for two sleeves could cut them off at the November 4th council meeting.
The Police Department is selling pink uniform patches as a fundraiser. Funds raised from the sales of pink uniform patches will be donated to the Cass County Relay for Life, benefiting the American Cancer Society.
