(Des Moines) Incumbent District 21 State Representative Tom Moore, a Republican from Griswold regains his seat in the Iowa legislature. Moore received 10,183 votes and defeated Democratic challenger Shaun Kelly, who garnered 4,337 votes.
Moore, a former educator for nearly four decades, worked in agriculture and served on the Griswold School Board.
Moore finished out the late Jack Drakes term before being elected to a full term four years ago.
