(Fort Dodge) Runners from Iowa junior colleges competed Sunday at the Region XI Championships.
Hawkeye Community College freshman Ryann Portch (AHSTW) placed 2nd in the Division II women’s race. Portch ran a 5K time of 19:30.
In Division I Jordan Hustak, of Missouri Valley, placed 11th for Iowa Central. Nodaway Valley alum Josh Baudler ran 15th for Southwestern Community College. Baudler ran an 8 kilometer PR of 27:10 to earn honorable mention all region. It’s the 8th fastest time in school history. Bradley Dennis, of Atlantic, ran for Iowa Western Community College and placed 32nd in a time of 29:16.
Jalen Petersen, of Atlantic, placed 5th in Division II for NIACC. Petersen’s time was 27:14.
