(Lewis) The Lewis Fire Department is holding a drawing on Election Day for a handmade knife.
Lewis Volunteer Firefighter Ryan Archibald said they decided not to hold their annual Election Day Pancake Dinner this year.
“We always have pancakes and sausage for the Election, but this year because COVID is going we decided not to do that because we didn’t know for one if we would have that many people show up and two just to keep social distanced and keep people apart we decided to cancel the dinner part of it and just do the tickets,” explained Archibald. “A local gentleman in Griswold by the name of Brent Milner made a handmade knife and sheath he donated to the Department and all of the proceeds goes to the Lewis Fire Department. We’re selling tickets for $5 each or five tickets for $20 and there are only 500 tickets to be sold.”
Tickets can be purchased up until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3rd. The drawing will be held at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased by contacting Terry Erickson at 249-2148, Colton Erickson at 249-3198 or Ryan Archibald at 249-7973.
