(Atlantic) The 50th Annual Atlantic BPW Fall Craft will be held Saturday, October 24th.
Jacque Wickey, with the Atlantic Business and Professional Women, said the event will be held at the Community Center in Atlantic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“It’s been a very big decision for us as to go ahead with it. I did go to a couple of craft shows around and I thought we can do this safely just so that everybody can get out and do something halfway normal,” said Wickey. “Right now we’ve got as full a house as we can possibly have.”
Wickey said there will be a variety of items available including flags, crochet items, syrups and jelly, jewelry, lamps, wood and metal signs, needle work, baked items, dips, mixes, quilted items, doll clothes, soaps and lotions, face masks, fleece blankets, books, and more. There will also be door prizes drawn about every 20 minutes. Admission to the Craft Show is $1.
“Our proceeds that we bring in we give to non-traditional scholarships and that being someone going back to college after five years out of high school, trying to get back into the workforce or just further their education or just going to college after maybe they started their family or something,” explained Wickey.
Jacque Wickey said they highly recommend wearing a mask and everyone should practice social distancing. Vendors will provide hand sanitizer at each table.
There will be food available in the concession stand; everything will be served in individual packages.
