(Oakland) Austin Kremkoski is building off of a solid sophomore season and taking his game to the next level as a junior. The Riverside quarterback leads Class A District 9 in touchdowns, is second in passing yards, and third in all-purpose yards.
Most importantly he’s helped lead the team to a 5-1 record. The group is far from satisfied. Kremkoski states their goal this year is a state title, “Everybody on the team just wants to go out there and fly around. Like Coach Frain says just go 100 miles an hour and everyone is doing that. Our goal is a state championship. That’s what we breakdown to. That’s the whole goal for the team.”
Kremkoski has 19 TD’s on the year. He’s thrown for 887 yards and rushed for 296. Last season he was named an all-district selection and co-offensive district MVP honors.
Riverside has a big matchup with 6-1 SW Valley Friday night. “It seems like a pretty good matchup. They have a good defense and good offense. I think we match up well. It’s going to be a dog fight.” Kremkoski will be a guest on KSOM’s pregame coverage.
