(Sidney) A Fremont County woman faces alcohol and drug-related charges stemming from an accident in Sidney.
The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office says 42-year old Jennifer Susan Akers, of Sidney, faces charges of OWI 1st Offense, Drugged Driving, Possession of Marijuana, and speeding.
The arrest stemmed from an investigation of an accident in 2100 Block of Main Street. The vehicle had been pulled from the ditch by another vehicle and was heading south on US Highway 275. A deputy observed the vehicle north of Hamburg traveling at 76-miles per hour and stopped it in Hamburg.
Akers is in the Fremont County Jail on four-thousand dollars bond.
