(Shenandoah) A strong field of cross country teams competed Thursday at the Shenandoah Invitational.
Lewis Central rose to the top of a boys field that featured 13 scoring teams. The Titans had individual runner-up Ethan Eichhorn as their top finisher in 2nd place while Nathan Sell ran 4th.
Glenwood took home the biggest team trophy among girls teams. Emma Hughes paced the Rams in 3rd place individually while she had five straight teammates finish from 8th-12th.
Individual champs were Aidan Booton, of Thomas Jefferson, and Mayson Hartley, of Clarinda.
Riverside had Ben Schroder lead the boys team in 20th place. Mason McCready was the next Bulldog to finish in 39th. The girls had Becca Cody 20th and Stormy Noble 28th.
Audubon’s girls competed with Grace Slater running 6th and Hannah Thygesen 24th.
