(Adair Co.) The Adair County Auditor’s Office is all ready for Absentee Voting to begin on Monday.
Adair County Auditor Mandy Berg said she asked the Supervisors at their meeting last week if it would be okay to use a portion of the east side of the courthouse to set up a couple of booths for voting.
“We have normally been working out of the west side because we have some windows there, but to not cause any trouble with any of the other offices I thought maybe we would work out of the east side so we could get voters in and out as quickly as we can,” said Berg.
Berg said the Supervisors were fine with that option. Berg said voters can call when they get to the courthouse and they will direct them to the east side to vote.
In other news, the Supervisors approved wage rate progressions for Travis Corder and Kurt Venteicher in the Engineer’s Office. Berg said both have been there 18 months and so they got a 93-cent per hour raise.
The Supervisors also approved signing contracts and performance bonds for two bridge projects; one with Cunningham Reis for $101,175 and one with Cohron & Son $940,634.60.
