Lexi Shike gets in on the record breaking fun for Nodaway Valley volleyball

(Greenfield) Nodaway Valley has a new career leader in assists. Lexi Shike moved into first place on the program’s all-time list on Tuesday.

Shike and the Wolverines beat Central Decatur 3-0 with the senior setter posting 35 assists. This runs her career total to 1,567 which tops Molly Hennigar’s previous record of 1562. Shike has 378 assists this season which is 11th most in Class 1A.

Nodaway Valley is 19-4 on the season. Natalie Yonker broke the career digs record earlier this season and Corrinne Bond is the program’s all-time leader in both blocks and kills.
