(Guthrie Co.) Guthrie County Attorney Brenna Bird is filling in as interim Audubon County Attorney.
Audubon County Attorney Sarah Jennings recently resigned to move closer to her family.
Guthrie County Auditor Dani Fink said the Guthrie County Attorney’s Office is helping out Audubon County until they can fill that position. She said Brenna Bird presented a potential 28E Agreement with Audubon County to share that position.
“It’s not something that the Board of Supervisors in Audubon County want to necessarily do, they’re hoping that they can get a full time County Attorney that is dedicated to them, but if they’re not able to secure someone they wanted to just open that up to Guthrie County to see if they would be willing to make that an option,” explained Fink.
The 28E Agreement was for informational purposes only in case it is needed; no action was taken.
