(Panora) The #1 ranked team in the state in Class 1A topped the #2 ranked team by 7 points in a 24-team meet at Panorama Thursday. Madrid’s team total of 60 held of Earlham’s 67 in the team race.
Jason Renze and Clay Pehl went 1-2 to lead the Tigers in the team scoring. Tri-Center’s Brett McGee placed 3rd in a meet with 144 varsity runners.
ACGC finished 5th as a team with a 10th place run from Trevin Suhr. Justin Reinhart was 33rd, Donnie Swanson 36th, Bo Arrasmith 43rd, and Zander Kenyon 52nd.
Nodaway Valley was 6th in the team scoring. Toby Bower an 11th, Doug Berg 16th, Ben Breheny 29th, Malachi Broers 57th, and Gavin Shoemaker 80th.
CAM placed 17th among 20 scoring teams. The Cougars top runners were Korben Brunt in 87th and Rylan Oglesbee in 88th.
Other individuals from the area included Audubon’s Jackson Deist 72nd and Exira-EHK’s Treaven Hill-Borger 99th.
