(Panora) Twenty-three teams competed on the girl’s side of the Panorama Cross Country Meet on Thursday and the Panthers defended their home course.
Panorama’s 59 points put them comfortably in front of team runner-up ACGC. The Panthers had Ella Waddle lead the way as the individual runner-up while Gwen Steffen and Olivia Steffen finished 7th and 10th, respectively.
ACGC’s 2nd place finish as a team saw Rylee Sloss run 5th, Kiersten Knobbe 14th, Jorja Hoover 21st, Hayden Coffman 24th, and Kelsey Carlson 31st.
Other local participants included Nodaway Valley, Audubon, Exira-EHK, and CAM.
Sophia Broers led Nodaway Valley with a 12th place run. The Wolverines were 6th in the team scoring. Lily Day was 32nd, Erin Ford 35th, Abby Engels 51st, and Annika Nelson 54th.
Audubon had Grace Slater leading the way in 6th. Hannah Thygsen was 25th for the Wheelers who were 9th in the team count. Katelyn Nielsen placed 42nd, Jordan Porsch 97th, and Madison Burr 133rd.
Exira-EHK’s team score of 310 was comprised of Camryn Paulsen 40th, Ella Petersen 55th, Quinn Grubbs 63rd, Kate Hansen 93rd, and McKenzie Yoshia 120th. The Spartans placed 11th as a team.
CAM had no team score, but Emily Plagman was 62nd, Whitney Holaday 87th, Cadence Stephenson 92nd.
