(Anita) The CAM FFA is hosting a soybean test plot night on Sunday, September 20th. The event starts at 5:00 p.m. on Highway 92 in Massena, just across the road from AgriVision Equipment, on Blaine and Kim Behnken cropland.
CAM FFA Treasurer Emily Plagman says this is the first time project for the group, and she’s hoping this will turn into an annual event. Plagman says the keynote speakers will kick off the festivities at 5:00 p.m.
Plagman says they’ve been tossing around the idea for a while, and thanks to the generosity of the Behnken’s, the test plot became a reality this year.
The plot consists of 36 soybean varieties, donated by the following seed companies;Jeff Thomsen, Daisy Creek Farms, donated by Merschman Seeds, The Seed Pros, John Becker and Mark Venteicher, Pioneer Seed, Trey Brix, Stine Seed, Don Waters, and Nutrien Ag Solutions, donated by Credenz Seed. Sean South, donated by Renk Seed, Cory Stephenson donated by Hoegemeyer Seed, and Mike Morrison, donated by Golden Harvest.
The event starts at 5:00 p.m., dinner and prize drawings at 5:30 p.m., and a question and answer session with seed representatives start at 6:00 p.m.
