(Wayne County) A Corydon, Iowa, man was injured in a golf cart vs. car accident in Wayne County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened in the 1000 block of Highway 14 on Sunday. Authorities say 77-year old James Goddell of Corydon was injured in the crash.
According to the report, a southbound Ford Focus driven by Tera Ostermeyer crested a hill and struck a southbound 1999 golf cart driven by Goddell. Ostermeyer applied the breaks in an attempt to avoid the collision with the slower moving golf cart traveling in a part of the travel portion of the highway.
Lifeflight transported Ostermeyer to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.
