(Audubon) The Audubon Wheelers are 2-0 on the season. Both the offense and defense were clicking on Friday night as the team downed Ar-We-Va 49-6.
Gavin Smith completed 5/7 throws for 222 yards and four scores. Smith also rushed for two TD’s on 12 carries for 88 yards. Ethan Klocke totaled 88 yards and one TD on 7 rushing attempts. He also took both of his receptions to the house for 86 receiving. Joel Klocke caught two passes for 61 yards with one TD and Braden Wessel reeled in a 75 yard TD grab.
For a second straight week Joey Schramm topped the tackle chart. The junior defensive lineman made 5.5 stops including two sacks. The team’s only two seniors were next in live on the defensive stat sheet. Joel Klocke had five tackles and a fumble recovery. Ethan Klocke made 4.5 stops including a sack.
