(Logan) Bishop Heelan scored 32 points and won the girl’s team championship at the Logan-Magnolia Cross Country Meet on Tuesday. The Crusaders placed three runners in the top five and finished 48 points ahead of runner-up AHSTW.
The second place team finish from the Lady Vikes included top 20 races from Chloe Falkena, Holly Hoepner, and Julia Kock. Falkena led the team in 11th, Hoepner came in 13th, and Kock was 17th. Other scoring runners for AHSTW were Kailey Jones in 23rd and Jade Draman 33rd.
Logan-Magnolia finished four points back of AHSTW to take 3rd. The Panthers were led by individual champion Courtney Sporrer.
Strong races from Grace Slater and Hannah Thygesen helped Audubon come away with a 4th place team finish. Slater was the top Wheeler finisher in 6th overall while Thygesen took 8th. Other scoring runners for Audubon were Katelyn Nielsen (29th), Jordan Porsch (57th), and Madison Burr (80th).
Denison-Schleswig, Underwood, Tri-Center, and Missouri Valley rounded out the team scoring. Area squad Griswold did not comprise a team score. The Tigers had Maddy Main 65th and Bailey Baucom 97th.
