(Des Moines) The National Weather Service expects strong to severe storms this afternoon and evening over large portions of the area including, the greatest potential east of Interstate 35. The main threats include large hail, damaging winds, and an isolated tornado or two.
Parts of southwest Iowa are at a slight risk for severe weather including the counties of Adams, Adair, Audubon, Carroll, Cass, Guthrie, Ringgold, Taylor, and Union.
Additional chances of severe weather exist Sunday night into Monday and again on Tuesday. However, the severe threat is low at this time.
