(Red Oak) The Atlantic girls’ tennis team defeated St. Albert 6-3 this morning in Red Oak.
Wet weather forced the match indoors. The Trojans won four of six singles matches and two of three doubles matches.
In singles play, Jacobi Harter defeated Ruby Narmi 8-3 at number one. Lily Wilrich topped Joslyn Boswell 8-6 at number two, while St. Albert’s Madelyn Dawson defeated Atlantic’s Dylin Ball 8-4 at number three.
Taryn O’Brien defeated Brooklyn Hughes 8-4 at number four, and Hope Hammontree topped Sophie Rose 8-3 at number five. St. Albert’s Lexi Pearce defeated Atlantic’s Sophie Rose 8-3 at number six.
In doubles, Harter and Ball, along with Wilrich and Hammontree, picked up wins for Atlantic. St. Albert’s Maeve Ryan and Lexi Pearce won their doubles match.
