Mitchell County Crash Claims Two Lives

(Osage) The Iowa State Patrol is investigating a head-on crash in Mitchell County that killed two people and injured another occupant.

The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on Friday at around 4:05 p.m., on Kirkwood Avenue and 440^th Street in Osage. Two people were killed, and one other person suffered injuries. No names were released.

According to the report, a southbound 2018 Chevy Equinox traveling on Kirkwood Avenue near 440^th Street and a northbound 2008 Dodge Dakota pickup collided head-on for unknown reasons.

Hoff Celebrations transported the two deceased persons to the State Medical Examiner’s Office. Mayo Air Med transported one person to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
