Atlantic Girl’s Tennis Team Defeats Denison-Schleswig in H10 Conference Tennis Match

(Shenandoah) The Atlantic girls’ tennis team extends its record to 4-1 with an 8-1 win over Denison on Tuesday. The Trojans won five of six singles matches and swept doubles play to secure the victory.

Jacobi Harter of Atlantic defeated Abby Ratliff of Denison, 8-6, at No. #1 singles. Lily Willrich (A) defeated Jacee Jepsen of (D), 8-4, at No. #2, Dylin Ball (A) at No. #3 downed Claire Olsen of (D), 8-3, and Taryn O’Brien (A) topped Kacie Schulte (D), 8-3, at No. #4. Ella Bahnsen (D) picked up the only singles victory for the Monarchs with an 8-1 win over Sophie Rose (A). Hope Hammontree (A) goes to 5-0 in singles play with an 8-0 Sweep of Olivia DeVore (D) at No. #6.

Harter/Willrich, Ball/O’Brien, and Hammontree/Rose each won their doubles matches, 8-5, 8-1, and 8-3, respectively.
