(Des Moines) Thunderstorms are moving over portions of central Iowa this morning, with a break before another round of storms develops mainly over eastern Iowa this afternoon. According to the National Weather Service, these storms could become severe, with a tornado or two possible, along with isolated gusty thunderstorm winds. Surface winds will increase from northwest Iowa late this morning to eastern Iowa by this evening, with gusts in excess of 35 and 40 miles per hour.
