(Atlantic) Atlantic pitcher Brynn Lamp pitched another six solid innings in Atlantic’s 8-3 win over 7th ranked Class 5A Dowling on Friday. For her performance on Friday, for the entire year to date, Lamp is the KS95.7 Amour Insurance Trojan Athlete of the Week.
Lamp allowed three runs on seven hits, struck two batters, and walked a pair. The junior is 15-4 on the season in 96 innings of work with an ERA of 2,18. She has struck out 61 batters, walked 21, and hit seven batters. She has held the team to a .205 batting average.
Lamp, who has only nine plate appearances, drilled a base hit against Dowling on Friday.
Atlantic hosts Bishop-Heelan tonight with a 7:00 p.m. start for the varsity.
